Favorite thing about living here:
Actually, two things come to mind: the beauty of our location - on the bay, inlet and ocean - and the sense of community - the closeness and friendship - that most of us share.
Why did you volunteer to get actively involved?:
It's a good opportunity to help maintain or improve our special way of life. Time and again, I've seen how participating at this level can make a difference. That, and the chance for Jolene and I to come up with a new parade costume ---

Favorite thing about living here:
The best part of living at the beach is being just slightly removed from the action of the "main land." This is, of course, the same reason why so many say they could never live here, so it's not for everyone. I find it very peaceful, though.
Why did you volunteer to get actively involved?:
I got involved because I wanted to meet more neighbors and to really take an active part in my community, which is something very rare these days.
